The Kyrgyz Republic, commonly known as Kyrgyzstan, is located in Central Asia. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the south, and China to the east. Its capital is Bishkek. Its land covers 199,900 km² and its population is 6,654,873. Divided into seven regions, it is a world-famous country with its beautiful nature, climate, tradition and hospitality.
GOVERNMENT
The system of government of the Kyrgyz Republic is parliamentary government. The parliament of the republic - the Jogorku Kenesh - is the highest representative body exercising legislative power that controls functions within the limits of its powers. It has the priority of deciding and determining the most important decisions and policies of the state, which is unicameral and consists of 120 deputies, elected for a term of 5-year. According to the results of the elections, a political party granted no more than 65 deputy mandates in parliament. The VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh, elected on October 4, 2020, is currently working.
ECONOMY
Today, the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic is developing due to natural mineral resources (gold, silver, iron, copper, coal and antimony, water, electricity), market economy, agriculture, services sector and tourism. Since 2019, on the initiative of the Bishkek communal service "Tazalyk", a waste recycling enterprise has been formed. The collected waste will be sold to local recycling entrepreneurs, and exported to China.
